Sign someone out
For administrators. Sign a member out of their browsers, and what this does not do.
This page is for administrators. You need the Admin role to sign people out.
Sign a member out
- In the sidebar, select Admin. The Users tab opens.
- Find the person's row in Enterprise members.
- In the Access column, select Sign out browser sessions.
You see "All browser sessions signed out." The person is signed out in every browser. They need to sign in again the next time they open the site.
What this does not do
Signing someone out doesn't remove their access. They can sign in again with their email and password. To take their access away, see Change a role or remove someone.
Why you can't sign yourself out here
Your own row has no Sign out browser sessions button. To sign yourself out, use Sign out all browser sessions in User settings. The message says "To sign yourself out, use “Sign out all browser sessions” in User settings." See Your account and User settings.
People you can't sign out
- Someone whose invitation is still pending has nothing to sign out, so their row has no button.
- Someone with platform-wide access: "This person has platform-wide access. Only another platform administrator can sign them out."
If it doesn't work
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Their browser sessions could not be signed out. Try again. | Try again. |
| Browser sessions are signed out, but the sign-in service did not confirm. Try again to finish. | Select the button again. |
If you see the message about an email address on file that isn't valid, ask your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact to finish.
