Install Rapid Pitch in Salesforce

This guide is for the Salesforce administrator at your company. It has Salesforce steps only. Your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact sends you the package installation link in a welcome email.

Before you beginCopy Anchor Link

You need:

• permission to install packages and edit page layouts;
• the package installation link from your welcome email;
• a production Salesforce organization. The sign-in used by the library does not work in a sandbox, so do not install there. If you want a test installation, ask your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact first.

You do not need a separate Rapid Pitch account to use the library in Salesforce.

1. Install the packageCopy Anchor Link

1. Open the package installation link while you are signed in to your production Salesforce organization.
2. Choose the access option you agreed with your team.
3. Complete the installation and wait for Salesforce to say it has finished.

Do not change or reinstall the package later unless your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact asks you to.

2. Assign the permission setCopy Anchor Link

1. In Salesforce Setup, open Permission Sets.
2. Select RapidPitchPermissionSet.
3. Choose Manage Assignments, then assign it to everyone who should use the library and the presentation picker.

Without the permission set, the picker can show No ICMs Available.

3. Add Select ICM to Contact and CampaignCopy Anchor Link

Salesforce packages cannot change your standard page layouts, so you add the action yourself, once for each object.

1. In Object Manager, open Contact, then Page Layouts.
2. Edit each layout your team uses. Add the Select ICM action to Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions. Save the layout.
3. Repeat these steps for Campaign.

4. Add the app to navigation (optional)Copy Anchor Link

In Salesforce Setup, open App Manager. Add RapidPitch to the navigation items of the apps your team uses. People can also open it from the App Launcher.

5. Open the tab onceCopy Anchor Link

Open the RapidPitch tab. The library opens on its own. There is no separate Authorize step and no Rapid Pitch sign-in. The first visit also records your Salesforce organization with Predictive Presentation Technologies.

6. Enter the analytics valuesCopy Anchor Link

The package still asks you to import a keystore and type four values. Follow Enter the analytics and dashboard values.

7. Check it worksCopy Anchor Link

1. Ask a colleague who has the permission set to open a Contact. They should see Select ICM.
2. Check that a Campaign shows it too.
3. Read Choose a presentation for a Contact or Campaign with them.
