The presentation assistant
Learn what the assistant on a presentation does, what it answers from, and why some presentations do not have one.
The assistant is a helper that sits on a presentation's page. A reader asks it a question about that presentation, and it answers.
What it answers from
The assistant answers from the presentation it sits on, and from the files chosen for that presentation. It does not answer from your other presentations.
If a file is not chosen for a presentation, the assistant for that presentation does not use it. An administrator chooses the files. See Choose what a presentation can answer from.
Why some presentations do not have an assistant
The assistant is not on every presentation. Your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact switches it on for each presentation that needs one, so you can't switch it on yourself. If a presentation has no assistant and you want one, ask your Predictive Presentation Technologies contact.
If you are an administrator, you can see whether the assistant is set up for your enterprise. Open Admin, select the Details tab, and read the AI agent line. It says Set up or Not set up. See Your enterprise details.
What changes when files change
When an administrator adds a file to a presentation, or takes one away, the assistant can take up to half an hour to catch up. Until then it may answer from the earlier set of files.
